Summer Pole Vaulting
Coach Michael Bennett is offering summer pole vault training. Sessions to be held in the mornings at the outdoor track at UVM 10am-12pm, Tues and Thurs. To join a session please email Coach Bennett.
Cost:
Below is the breakdown of what Coach Bennett charges for pole vault lessons depending on the number of athletes in the training session. The recommendation is to set up 2-hour training sessions as any less time than that and athletes don't take a sufficient number of jumps in practice but any longer and athletes take too many jumps and fatigue causes them to develop bad habits. Coach Bennett also recommends that athletes train in the pole vault either 2x or 3x per week.
Private Lessons: $100 / hour
2-person training session: $85 / hour per athlete
3-person training session: $60 / hour per athlete
4 or more persons training session: $100 flat fee per athlete
One-time Fees:
As a requirement of our insurance/liability coverage, all athletes must be USATF members with Vermont Track and Field listed as their club affiliation. USATF membership can be completed here. Youth membership is $30/year.
