Who are Vermont Elite athletes?
Vermont Elite athletes are competitive middle school (7/8) and high school athletes who want to train and compete outside of the scholastic season.
Can I compete with my school team and Vermont Elite?
Yes! Vermont Elite is a USATF Development Club that competes in USATF sanctioned meets outside of Vermont. Vermont Elite athletes train and compete with both their club and school teams.
Where and how often do you train?
Vermont Elite utilizes indoor and outdoor training facilities at UVM and other locations. Winter training will consist of 3-4 sessions per week, based on facility availability. The indoor season begins in November and lasts through February with Championships in March.
Do I have to attend all of the trainings/meets?
Your level of commitment is up to you. Club members may train and compete as little or as much as fits within their schedules.
How large is Vermont Elite and will my athlete receive personal coaching?
To ensure each member receives the level of support and individual coaching they need to excel in their events Vermont Elite will cap membership numbers for the 2025 indoor season.
Who are the coaches?
Vermont Elite coaching staff includes USATF Level 1 certified, D1 college, and high school accredited coaches, as well as current and former D1 college athletes.
How much does membership cost?
Vermont Elite operates on a shared cost model. Coaching fees (and some facility fees) are split between all members. Estimated cost per member for 2024-2025 winter season is $900. Uniforms, additional training, travel to/from meets and meet entry fees are additional.
